Never has a syndicated television series made us drool over business office supplies quite the way Mad Men does. We’re so excited for Season 4, which premiered last night! (Of course, at the time of the writing of this blog post, it hasn’t aired yet, so don’t worry, there won’t be any spoilers in this text.)

Amy Wells is the show’s set designer, and has proven herself to be a veritable genius. Her work with mid-century modern furniture and business office supplies is dizzying in its verisimilitude and style. As lovers of business office supplies in general, and paperclips in particular (just kidding, that’s a little joke around the office), she had us at hello.

In season 4, Don Draper, Sterling and Cooper and a hand-picked selection of the company’s best and brightest will be starting their own ad company. We are so excited to see what happens, not only in the personal lives of the characters, but also in the office set up. When we left them at the end of last season, they were working out of a hotel room. But you know Joan, the delicious and amazingly capable secretary is going to hook them up with some gorgeous furniture and business office supplies soon enough, if slowly but surely.
