The Corn Plastic Cups or PLA Plastic look and feel like the traditional plastic cup but are 100% Earth Friendly. Made from US Corn, PLA plastic is fully compostable and biodegradable. PLA Plastic will composite in approximately 30 to 45 days in a commercial compost but may take a bit longer in home composting bin. PLA plastic is becoming competitively priced with Petroleum (PET) plastic and in some instances is actually less expensive.
