Vertical File Cabinets are the most economical filing cabinet.  They require minimal floor space and are the best for long term filing.  When shopping for a vertical file cabinet you need to determine the type of draw suspension you will need.  The amount of weight and the number of times the drawer will be opened and closed will determine the suspension needed.  There are three different suspension types - Non-suspension, Slide Suspension, and Full Suspension.   Vertical files with Non-suspension drawers are suitable for home and student use.  Slide Suspension drawers are for light duty use.  The Non-suspension and Slide Suspension are not recommended for commercial use.  Vertical File Cabinets with Full Suspension are designed for commercial use.  The Full Suspension drawer distributes the contents weight evenly and opens all the way providing access to the entire drawer. The Full Suspension drawer is available in two diffent features - Nylon Roller and Ball Bearing Rollers.  The  Nylon Roller Suspension has long lasting nylon rollers which allows the drawer to open in a quiet, fluid motion.  Most of your commercial Vertical File Full Suspension Cabinets use Nylon Roller suspension.  The best of the best is the Ball Bearing Roller.  The Ball Bearing Suspension is constructed of heavy gauge steel and the drawer channels roll along high quality steel ball bearings.  This type of suspension is designed for heavy duty use and is used on premium vertical files and most lateral file cabinets.
